Level 1 (Top of Book) Data provides the best available bid and ask prices—this is the most basic market data and is commonly used for chart-based trading.
Level 2 (Depth of Market) Data, on the other hand, offers a more detailed view by showing the top 5 to 10 bid and ask levels. This means you can see pending buy and sell orders at multiple price points. Level 2 data is especially useful if you trade using a DOM.
Due to the CME Group, a fee is now required to access market data even for simulated (SIM) trading accounts.
At Tradentry, we cover the full cost of Level 1 (Top of Book) market data across all four CME exchanges as a courtesy to our traders.
If you want to access Level 2 (Depth of Market) data which provides additional insight into market activity you can upgrade directly from your dashboard.
You’ll be charged immediately when you upgrade to Depth of Market (Level 2) data.
After that, the subscription renews on the 1st day of each month, regardless of your original upgrade date.
